I play mostly in DADGAD when I am doing Irish Seisiúns and have been writing a lot in that wonderful tuning the past few years. I don’t often write ‘relationship’ songs and now there are three on this recording, all in DADGAD. Perhaps it is the melancholy feel of the guitar in DADGAD that brings it out of me or maybe I am just getting old and weepy.
